This catalogue was published in a limited edition of 50 copies to accompany the Geoffrey Bawa: It Is Essential To Be There Exhibition, the first major exhibition which draws from the archives to look at Bawa’s practice. The catalogue contains a guide to the exhibition that was organised in four thematic sections, exploring relationships between ideas, drawings, buildings and places with an overview on over 120 documents, objects and building models that were on display from the archives.The catalogue also features an essay by Exhibition Curator and Curator at the Geoffrey Bawa Art and Archival Collections, Shayari de Silva.
